I think it’s funny that some people are afraid to jump on here and share their thoughts.

Osteen is very positive. He’s gotten crap for commenting that Mormons are Christians, but that makes me like him even more! : )

Concerning “Tongue of Fire,” I like a variety of books so the fact that it’s not scholarly doesn’t scare me!

This one is a very fun read. It’s not scholarly like most religious books are.

Also, I would love to see Beck and Osteen on tour. I’ve read a book from Osteen and it was good. I like how he’s open minded as well and doesn’t shun Mormons. We as Mormons could learn from him.

I think that would be pretty typical for most Protestant congregations. From my experience on both sides of the aisle, I have seen that the sermons are typically the same and fall in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

There are just a lot of stereotypes that people have that influence their feelings about other faiths.

I pray more Mormons will show up on your blog so that stereotypes on both sides of the aisle can be broken through quality conversations. I have a local Mormon friend who continues to converse with me via email even though I haven’t visited his church for nearly a year now.

God is apparently using Glen Beck to break barriers. The Trinity Broadcasting Network recently broadcast Glen’s stadium crusade. I’m praying that Glen & Joel Osteen, pastor of the largest church in America, who has said publicly that he believes Mormons are Christians, will hold a joint stadium crusade! It’s going to happen whether the devil likes it or not!
