Twilight is maybe the stupidest thing ever. what i love about glen beck is that he breaks down stereotypes about Mormons. south park portrayed Mormons as happy all the time, almost to an unnatural level (my experiences with the church don’t do much to disprove that. you guys should see the uncomfortable look on peoples faces when i come into Sunday school, will they say anything, no, because you have to be “happy!” that’s why i don’t go anymore.) back to the point, glen beck disproves the south park stereotype and that’s why i voted for him. e-mail me garythenotrashcouger@yahoo.com for any reason (probably because you had a problem with what i said

I’ll agree with you on Harry Reid. I don’t even see how he can call himself a Christian in any sense of the word with a lot of the stuff he tries to push.

Glenn Beck cringing. Well, I would have to see it in context but typically when someone says “you’re a Mormon!!” it isn’t with good intentions. Somehow “mormon” has become a taboo thing to say and I cringe too when people say it in a negative sense. It’s funny how many “Christians” act not so christlike with fellow brothers.

Twighlight. I’m not sure about demonic, but a boring story: yes! I walked out of the movie due to the silliness of the show and don’t get what all the hype is all about.

Why boast about the author of the demonic “Twilight” series being a Mormon when you should be ashamed of that series of books that are corrupting young girls’ minds? That is pitiful.
I agree with you that Glenn Beck is popular, but I like his patriotism first and foremost. He did seem to cringe on camera when John Bolton said “And you, Glenn, are a Mormon”, which leads me to believe he is rather “stealth” in his Mormonism, preferring to be perceived as mainstream “Christian”.
And then there’s Harry Reid – one of the most pathetic people to ever “serve” this country. This jerk will do more damage to this country than anyone can imagine.

I see your point with the Twighlight thing being so big. Glenn Beck is pretty hot right now though and stirring things up on the political front. I’m not sure how big he is internationally, but he was just on the cover of Time magazine recently.

I know I’m not known here, but is there a reason my comment was not accepted? Which was: The author of “Twilight” is not named Myers, but Meyer. And yes (regretably so in my opinion), she is probably the best-known Latter-day Saint in the world. A pitifully insignificant contribution, perhaps, but worth the trouble of rejection?

Twilight’s author is not named Meyers. Her name is Stephanie Meyer, and yes (sad and embarassing as it may be) she is likely the best-known person of the LDS faith in the world today.
